I agree that The Great Unknown to Crossing The Rubicon transition is a bit jarring, but the shift from Dreamer's Hotel to Rubicon and into modern living is much less so.Įlegy for Extinction ends the album on the highly positive vibe that begins with satellites. I've seen many people comment how the first 7 songs function as a unit with the latter 8 as a different unit which I completely concur with. I think this one will grow on me with time. You lose some of the buildup the THE GREAT UNKNOWN has created. Listening to it a second time, the song is pretty good, but I think its placement as the second track is questionable.
